Seasonal Floral Wreath A4 Paper Pattern - Spring & Summer
Intermediate Level Embroidery Project
Seasonal Wreath quilted pocket finished size 12” square
Super excited about this new pattern that focuses on the beautiful slow stitch perfect for darker nights in front of the telly when we are all dreaming of brighter days !
I “got into” crayon tinting way back in 2005 - I did a couple of pieces which were lovely, but I didn’t stray any further. More recently I have started to draw my own designs and thought why not try tinting them and furthermore exhibit them in a faux cathedral window style pocket. The pocket is made so that you can change the embroidery for the season. Autumn and Winter will follow and fit in the same pocket aperture.
The embroideries would work equally well in a simple hanging wooden hoop.
This is a fifteen page professionally produced glossy designer pattern featuring step by step instructions. It assumes that you are familiar with various embroidery stitches and focuses on the creation of the pocket to hold your piece and the tinting of the Seasonal Wreath designs. There are eleven full colour photos to help you on your way, step by step instructions and full size templates for you to trace off.
I have explored two mediums in the main - pencil crayon and wax crayon. In this pattern I will give you my thoughts and recommendations around each. They may not be the same as other artists, but I am simply going to share what has worked best for me (and what didn’t work and why!)
Ooh and do come share your make in my Private Facebook Group – The Little Pattern Club with Sallieann Harrison – where you will also find extra tips advice and explanatory videos.
Ready to have a go at something new in 2023???
Happy Stitching
